Our Story

My name is Leo Zhang, founder of CrystalStill — an online crystal shop run by a Donghai crystal family.

I grew up in Donghai County, Jiangsu — widely known as China's largest crystal trading hub. Here, crystals are not merely a hobby or passing trend. They are our family legacy, everyday conversation, and the hum of polishing wheels I heard since childhood.

For as long as I can remember, my family has worked with crystals: sourcing rough stones from local markets, hand-cutting and polishing them, then supplying crystals to traders across China.

As I grew older, I noticed a disconnect: crystals from our hometown travelled across the globe, yet their origin story, the craftsmanship and the artisans behind them remained unseen. Middlemen handled the stones, while the craft stayed hidden at home.

So we set out to change this. CrystalStill is our family workshop, opened directly to you. No unnecessary middlemen, no vague descriptions — only genuine stones sourced straight from the origin, brought to you by people who know crystals intimately.

Growing up surrounded by crystal workshops taught us two core values. First, respect for earth's creations. Every inclusion, phantom crystal and rainbow flash inside a stone formed over millions of years. We are only privileged to reveal its beauty. Second, patience. A fine polish cannot be rushed, and a genuine crystal cannot be faked.

To us, a crystal is more than a decorative object. It is tangible stillness you can hold — a fragment of the earth's slow, quiet work, to ground you amid busy days. This is the meaning behind our name, CrystalStill, and what we hope you feel every time you unbox your crystal.

Meet Our Team

Leo Zhang — Founder Born and raised in Donghai, Leo grew up in the family crystal workshop. He has spent his life around rough stones, polishing equipment and mineral markets. He personally hand-selects every specimen and jewelry piece, visiting local markets and miners to source quality crystals. His simple rule: if he would not keep it for himself, he will not sell it to you.

Mia Liu — Customer Happiness & Order Care Mia joined Donghai's crystal trade during college and knows our inventory nearly as well as Leo. She answers your questions honestly — even when the answer is "this piece may not be right for you". She ensures every order is carefully wrapped like a gift, because every crystal is special.

Ken Wang — Sourcing & Quality Control Ken is our quiet perfectionist. He splits his time between workshops and markets, inspecting clarity, checking for fractures and treatments. He rejects far more stones than he approves. When your crystal arrives matching our description, you have Ken to thank.
